5 Steps To Add Facebook Aps (Applications) to a Facebook Page
As we all should know Facebook has become one of best free marketing tools available today. Because of its authority and popularity, Facebook offers multiple applications that allow you as the user to make your page become more interesting. Basically, you can add photos, notes and groups. And there are Facebook Aps available that allow you to create polls, connect friends through yahoo/msn messenger, add twitter, feed RSS from your blog, choose your top friends, add music and even display video. To add new applications to your Facebook page, follow these 5 steps. Click image to view bigger image.
Step 1
You must log on to your Facebook page. Then click the word “Applications” on the left column of your screen. You should already have several pre-inserted applications such as Photos, Friends, Games, Groups, Events and Marketplace.
Step 2
Once you click the application you can see the list of the application you already have. Here, you can choose to remove applications, but you can have as many applications as you want if you’d like to keep them all. You can also browse through the “Friends’ Recent Activity”, “Friends’ Applications”, etc.
Step 3
Next, you can click “Browse more applications” in the right corner to see the full directory of applications. Or you can visit this page: www.facebook.com/applications/. You can also browse through the “Recently Popular,” “Most Users” and “Newest” tabs at the top of the list, or the various categories in the right column. This will help you find the applications you are looking for.
Step 4
If you found the application that interests you, click on in to add. A page will appear explaining the application details (the page is actually belongs to the application creator). On the page you can see an option “Add Application” on the left side of the screen. Click to add and the application will appear in your list in the left column. Take a look at the screen shot below for example.
Normally, you can configure straight the application but in case not, you can always configure it by going to: Account (on right hand side), Application Settings, and then look for application that you wish to configure. Click Edit Settings; just configure it to suit your needs.
Step 5
Once configured, your new application will appear in either at the center Tab area (sometimes you need to click the + sign) or at the sidebar. Make sure you’re logged into Facebook. You can also access it by clicking on the name in the left column.
Tips:
- It’s quite straight forward actually. What you really need to do is play with it. I believe within the next 10-20 minutes you will become expert.
- New Facebook applications are added every day. Most users are enjoying creating new Facebook aps. Make sure to check back often to see which new applications might interest you.
- Another way to learn is when your friends add applications. It will show in your news feed when you first log on. This is also a good way to learn about new applications you might want.
